HYDRANGEA

“Hydrangea in the language of flowers is a symbol of spiritual strength”

Legend has it that a cabin boy named Baret boarded a ship of the King of France that was headed overseas to find new species of flowers. Baret, who was considered fragile by everyone, was captured by the natives and after being freed, the crew discovered that he was not a weak young man at all, but in reality a brave woman who had disguised herself as a sailor to explore the world. Touched by her story, the king decided to name one of the flowers brought from these distant lands in her honor with her true name: Hortense.
